‘Joe like this…’ is an animated poem highlighting the challenges faced by undocumented young people in the UK. The animation was produced collaboratively with Brighter Futures London and Kazzum Arts. A group of young people who, like Joe 2, don’t have the right to stay in the UK because of their immigration status. They collaborated with myself and Arji to help direct and create this animation.
Written by Arji Manuelpillai with Brighter futures London and Kazzum Arts. Alex Evans from Kazzum Arts created the story board and I worked from this using Toon Boom Harmony and After Effects. The brilliant BP Moore created the sound track.
